What's at Stake

I just found this amazing pictorial on the working poor of Troy New York. Today as we go to the polls we have so much at stake but out there even amidst the high turnout are those on the lowest rungs of the financial scale and only one candidate has consistently talked about poverty while the other created a mockery of the middle class with the Joe-the-Plumber gimmick. Those working poor may not even know who is running but they'll certainly feel the effects of more of the same failed economic policies. Vote for change and vote for a government that works for those who struggle to keep their head above the water of this "trickle-down" economy.

Brenda Ann Kenneally captures the female working poor and culture of incarceration in Troy, NY, where the presidential race has little resonance.

News Junkies Show 5 - October 30 2008

4 Days left until the presidential election of 2008 and we're all going nuts! Let's get this thing over already!

Obama's big infomercial was last night and got the biggest ratings of the evening. He purchased a half an hour of air time on 7 networks so odds were good you were flipping channels and thought someone else had a remote too and was messing with you.

This week Co-Host extraordinaire  Lacey Gilleran returned to the show and accounting student Chris LeBeau sat in for our headline session.

You've seen the posters you puzzled at the statistics, now Janice Kessler of the SHU Counseling Center joined us to talk about the poster campaign and how the information was gathered.
